What happens after I apply? 
We read all applications and put them on file. Unfortuantely we can’t reply to every application. If you are in an area we require a Santa Claus, and your applicaiton is great, you will receive an email or a phone call to discuss an interview. 

What does it mean if I dont get a reply?

Generally it just means we dont have work in your area right now. Especially over the Christmas season, we may only have time to contact potential Santas who we have current work for. 

Should I apply again?

Please only apply once per year, unless your contact details have changed, If your address, email or phone number have changed, we wont be able to contact you, so let us know. 

How do interviews work?

Book a Santa will contact you for an interview. This is usually via zoom or over the phone. Rarely is an interview in person as we look after Santas all over Australia. In an interview, we want to know more about you and that your personality is reliable, friendly and would suit the Santa persona. 

If I am successful, how does it work?

Once you are on the books of Book a Santa, we contact you when bookings in your area come up. We may ask you about bookings via text message or email. We prefer bookings to be in writing. You will be told everything about the booking and you asked to accept. Let us know asap so we can continue to be the quick admin superstars we are. 

What’s a WWC? 
A WWC is a working with children check. They are called different names in different states such as working with vunerable people, national child check, or bluecard. 

Do I need a WWC?
You do not need a WWC to apply to be a Santa Claus, but you must hold one to be offered any bookings. This is a legal personal requirement. We can assist you in applying, but you must apply on your own. 

Do I need a costume?
Book a Santa has professional Santa Claus costumes to loan to Santas with bookings. Costumes are on loan and must be looked after and returned when required. Some Santas prefer to invest in their own costume which is also fine as long as approved by Book a Santa 

What sort of jobs might I do?
Book a Santa takes bookings across Australia for a number of positions including shopping centres, child care centres, schools, corporate events, private visits and photography. You will be offered jobs based on your suitability, and preference. 

Will I be paid?

All Santa Claus positions are paid. You are paid based on the position, the number of hours booked, your experience, and the actual job. Exact remuneration is discussed on every booking.
