A Santa business run by people who do this all year
We started out supplying Santas in 2007 and have been trading as Book a Santa since 2014. That is a lot of Decembers. Over that time we have learned what makes a visit go well, and just as importantly, what makes the booking side easy for the people organising it.
Today we work with a network of 500 performers across Australia. Santas, Mrs Claus, elves and artistry add-ons like face painters and balloon twisters. Behind them is a real office team in Melbourne, and every enquiry is looked after by a person.
Some clients book one Santa for one lounge room visit. Others book rosters across several venues, or whole programs that run for weeks. We handle both the same way: ask a few questions, match the right performer, and keep you updated until the day.
How booking works
Start with the free instant quote on our hire a Santa page. Tell us the date, the time, where you are and what kind of event it is, and you will see your quote straight away. There is no obligation, and you do not pay anything until your Santa has been allocated.
Once a performer is confirmed, you can pay securely online or ask us for an invoice. Schools, councils and businesses often prefer the invoice, and that is fine with us.
Every client also gets a client portal with their booking details in one place. When your Santa is confirmed, the portal includes free simple promotional flyers you can use to advertise the visit. We suggest holding off on advertising until your performers are locked in, so you never promise something that is not yet confirmed.
Checked and trained, every time
Every performer we send holds a current Working With Children Check or the state equivalent. That means the VIC Working with Children Check, NSW WWCC, QLD Blue Card, WA WWC Card, SA Working with Children Check, ACT WWVP registration, NT Ochre Card or TAS Registration to Work with Vulnerable People, depending on where the visit is.
Our performers are also professionally trained. They know how to read a nervous toddler, how to keep a queue moving and how to stay warm and in character through a long Saturday in December.

Are your performers checked?
Yes. Every performer holds a current Working With Children Check or the state equivalent, such as the NSW WWCC, QLD Blue Card or WA WWC Card, and is professionally trained.
When do I pay?
Not until your Santa is allocated. You can then pay securely online or request an invoice.
What is the client portal?
It holds your booking details in one place. Once your Santa is confirmed, it also includes free simple promotional flyers you can use to advertise the visit.
Can you handle more than one venue?
Yes. We run single visits, multi-session and multi-day bookings and multi-venue programs. Companies with several sites can start at our corporate Santa hire page.
When should I book?
As early as you can. Saturdays and Sundays in late November and December, especially late morning to early afternoon, book out first.
