We know how council Christmas works
We have been supplying Santas since 2007 and have worked with more than 25 councils and shires in five states. Some of them have booked us every Christmas since 2021.
A council booking is never just a date and a time. There is a purchase order to raise, a supplier form to fill in, an insurance certificate to file, a child safety question from the risk team, and an events team with twenty other things on in December. We have set up our booking system so most of that is done before you need to ask.

Fill in your event details and your quote comes back on the spot, in writing, ready to go in alongside your other quotes.
Certificate of Currency on hand
Our public liability certificate is in your client portal to download whenever someone asks for it. No emails back and forth.
Working With Children checked
A performer cannot accept a booking without a current check for the state your event is in. Once your Santa is assigned, you can see their profile and check details.
Purchase orders welcome
Upload your PO against the booking and the PO number is printed on the invoice, so accounts payable can match it first time.
Supplier forms prewritten
We have our supplier forms prewritten to save you time. Send through your vendor registration or new supplier paperwork and we will get it straight back to you.
Pay the way council pays
Pay on invoice by bank transfer, or by card online. Every invoice sits in your portal for your records.

Storytime with Santa, photos and short visits. Booking several branches? Tell us and we will try to keep the same Santa across the day.
Parades and big arrivals
On a float, walking the route, or arriving on the fire truck. We have had Santas turn up by boat and vintage train too.
Seniors lunches and aged care
Gentle, unhurried visits for older residents, who often enjoy Santa as much as the kids do.

Council staff Christmas parties and family days, with Mrs Claus and elves if you want a bigger show.

Council events are open to everyone, so we plan for that.
- Auslan. We have performers in Victoria who sign Auslan. Ask early so we can line them up.
- Calm, low sensory sessions. We have Santas experienced with neurodivergent children and children with disability.
- Real beards. Available on request, subject to availability.
- A bigger cast. Mrs Claus, elves, face painters and balloon twisters to keep the queue happy.
Local Santas, wherever you are
We have a network of 500 performers and have delivered events in every state and territory. We always start with the nearest suitable performer, which matters when your shire covers a lot of ground.
Your client portal keeps everything in one place: your quote, confirmation, purchase order, invoices, our Certificate of Currency, and your Santa’s profile once they are assigned. Loved your Santa? Ask for the same one next year.

Can you send us a Certificate of Currency?
Yes. Our public liability Certificate of Currency is in your client portal to download at any time, and we are happy to email it with your quote.
Do all your performers have Working With Children Checks?
Yes. A performer cannot accept a booking without a current check for the state the event is in. Once your Santa is assigned you can see their profile and check details in your client portal.
Can we pay by purchase order?
Yes. Upload your purchase order in the client portal or email it to us, and the PO number is printed on the invoice.
Will you fill in our supplier registration forms?
Yes. We have them prewritten to save you time. Email yours to hire@bookasanta.com.au and we will send it back completed.
Can one Santa visit several libraries or venues in a day?
Often, yes. Tell us the branches and times and we will try to keep the same Santa for the whole day.
Do you cover regional areas?
Yes. We have supplied councils from regional shires to capital cities, and we always start with the nearest suitable performer.
Our event is outdoors in summer. Anything we should know?
Tell us in the quote form. Please plan some shade and water for Santa, and on long sessions in the heat, a short break.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as your dates are set. December weekends are the first to go.
